Dear Ace Agents,

I don’t think any of the horror writers could have written a script on what has been happening to our country and world in the last month.  It’s really sad that the absolute greed and corruption within our investment world and political world has helped spawn a global economic earthquake.  This series of tsunamis has washed away trillions of dollars of investments and savings for retirement.  Believe me I know!  Now, it may not be gone for ever.  At least hopefully not.  But it sure does cause a little trepidation when you see the market jump 960 points one day and drop like a lead balloon the next.   It shows the uncertainty of this world’s wealth. 

How in the world did all of this happen?  Well, I certainly don’t have all the answers but a friend of mine shared a radio program from NPR with me that seems to put in perspective the various events that have created this nightmare.  Of course I am not an economist, nor do I know that everything that is stated in this program is completely accurate but it sure does seem to ring a bell of truth in my heart.   I would encourage you to click the link below labeled “Giant Pool of Money” and take a listen to it. 

In spite of all the bad news out there, amazingly there is still some good news in our industry of things that are happening.  Just remember the world’s not ending today because it is already tomorrow over in Asia!

Marketing Summit – A Super Success! 

120+ professionals from our wonderful industry gathered together October 5-7th in Jacksonville for a power-packed informative and inspiring couple of days of mental and emotional medication!  Many comments came from past attendees stating that this was the best Marketing Summit in the last seven years.  Breakout sessions were extremely pertinent and the General sessions hit the target each time. 

Everyone attending was extremely alert, very receptive and desiring ideas of how to survive in this crazy environment.    

In fact many of you have probably met people who attended who expressed that same sentiment.  If you missed it, we’re sorry that you did.  Keep in mind though that we are in the process of planning the best and most needed ACES (Amenity Communities Excellence in Selling) that we have ever had.  The theme “The Power of Believing Big”.  By the first part of February all of your sales and management people will desperately need every bit of ideas and encouragement that they can consume!  If you are only planning one conference for ’09, then make it ACES ’09!
